Dreams do come true.....

Pepsi was originally intended for Casey, but once Cledus came along; it was obvious that Pepsi and Cledus had other plans. Pepsi is as stoic as they come, which makes her ideal for lessons and leisurly trail rides. Pepsi is a mix of Percheron, Morgan, Paint, and Haflinger which gives her a stout short frame and a laid back gentle in your pocket personality.

Pepsi had three foals for us, and each one was a great deal like her. I do plan on breeding her one last time, so the search is on to find "THE" stallion. I want to keep the stout build, but personality and correct structure is upmost in my mind. Color isn't as important, but if I get a cool color, that is a bonus!

Most of the time you can find us traveling down the trails, but every so often we clean up and hit a horse show. We don't go to win, we go to have fun and see friends.

She doesn't know she isn't royalty!
Pepsi doesn't know that she is without papers. In her mind and presence, she likes to be treated like royalty. She willingly does whatever we ask, and has taken several young children for their first ride.
Built to last...
Pepsi stands 13.1 and weighs in around 1,250 pounds. She has strong solid bone through her leg, and a broad strong back. She is durable and built to last.
Not a long distance runner!
Although Pepsi can lope and have some fun at high speeds; under saddle her favorite gait is walk. Okay, so she isn't speedy, but we'll get to the top of the hill- eventually!
Pepsi under saddle at 2 years with a 6 year old Casey on board.
Pepsi was very easy to train to ride. In a matter of two weeks she was going calmly enough that Casey would go on trail rides with her Dad and Cajon.
Pepsi and her 2006 daughter Mystic
Pepsi surprised us with SRR PC Docs Mystic Fire in 2006. The stallion we owned back in Wisconsin got in with the rest, and despite being ultrasounded open, Pepsi gave us this little gem! Mystic lives down in Mississippi now, but we think of her often.
Pepsi with her 2004 filly Honey
Pepsi almost lost this filly in 2004, but with diligent round the clock care, she gave us a sorrel overo filly. SRR Dynamo PC Honey stayed with us until we found her a home right over in Clear Lake, SD. She was gentle and easy going like her mother and half brother Cledus.
Pepsi & me doing some ring work.
I was done giving lessons for the day, so being that Pepsi was up at the Rockin' "G" for weaning, we enjoyed some time in the spacious outdoor arena. I didn't even know Nellie took this, but I am forever grateful to her for giving me such a beautiful keepsake. Usually, I am the one on the other side of the camera!
She knew I was there for her.....
Pepsi can get her head over the gate somewhat, but instead she likes to "peek" through it. She stands at the gate and wishes me over for attention and treats. Despite the cold temps this day, I took her out and gave her a good brushing, and yes some treats.....

She's the only one for me.....
We are the perfect team, we enjoy relaxing trail rides, we don't care to go fast, but we enjoy being in the water. I can hardly believe that she will be 11 years old this year (2009)!

Best Summer yet!
I don't recall ever having spent a more enjoyable summer..... One of our trail rides turned into a all day event and found us in a county to the south! Needless to say, we've REALLY put the miles on this year.
